NDC and NPP clashes five injured at Chereponi

At least five people have reportedly been injured in a clash between supporters of the ruling NDC and main opposition New Patriotic Party at Chereponi in the Northern region.

According Eliasu Tanko Starr News the feud erupted after some NPP supporters who had returned from the party’s final rally in Accra pelted stones at an NDC crowd that had converged at the market square Monday night.

The injured, according to Tanko, have been referred to Mungo, a community in neighboring Togo for treatment.

Gunshots were fired by unknown persons, the District Chief Executive for the area Hajia Mary Nakobu confirmed.
