‘It was a privilege to manage Rosicky’

Arsène Wenger says that when Tomas Rosicky plays football, the game becomes “quicker, more incisive and more mobile”.

The Czech Republic international joined the club 10 years ago this week from Borussia Dortmund and quickly became a firm fans’ favourite.

“He has a quality – when the ball comes to him the game suddenly becomes a bit quicker, more incisive, more mobile” -Wenger on Rosicky

While a succession of injuries restricted Rosicky’s playing time, Wenger says it was always a “privilege” to manage the 35-year-old.

“It will always be a frustration [he didn’t play more games] because first of all Tomas was an exceptional talent,” Wenger told Arsenal Player.

“I personally, like we all do here, love the player. The standing ovation he gets every time he walks out there tells you a lot.

“We love the man as well, and his attitude, and his exceptional class and qualities. It’s sad [that he’s leaving] but I must say, for me it was a privilege to manage him.

“He makes it look very easy when he’s playing. He has a quality – when the ball comes to him the game suddenly becomes a bit quicker, more incisive, more mobile.

“He had all the football qualities to play the game we love to play here, and I would say Tomas Rosicky was the perfect player for Arsenal Football Club.”

WanLuv Kubolor has thrown salvos at the organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs), Charter House saying that they have lowered their standards in bringing together the best for this year’s awards.

Speaking in exclusive interview with Sokoohemaa on Rainbow Radio, the controversial musician said Charter House denied themselves a moment in history by recognising the greatest artiste for this year’s awards.

WanLuv opined that the real history for this year so far as music is concerned is that Shatta Wale is the greatest artiste of the year but the organizers failed to recognise him due to their [Charter House] ego.

According to him, he felt disappointed that Ghanaian musicians patronised the event when they know that the award ceremony was a sham.
In his view, the musicians who participated in the event were forced to do so by their management.

”They [Charter House] have denied themselves a moment in history; because the real history of the world or Ghana shows that Shatta Wale was one of the greatest artiste of the year. But they [Charter House] failed to recognise that due to their ego. They have lowered their standards so far as music is concerned. They didn’t bring together the best-that’s how i see it for this year’s VGMAs.”

Charter House disqualified dancehall artiste Shatta Wale demanding from him to offer unqualified apology for defaming them some years back.

Shatta Wale was sued by Charter House for describing them as a fraudulent institution. The artiste took hi Facebook wall and recorded songs to ‘defame’ the organizers of the annual event. Due to this, Shatta Wale was disqualified from participating in the award ceremony.

Wanluz commenting on it said, ”If i was nominated as a popular artiste and later realised that Shatta Wale was disqualified, i would have boycotted the event.”

When asked if the VGMA is credible, he answered quizzing, ”Do you think the Government of Ghana is credible; Do you think the churches in Ghana are credible? Whatever is happening in Ghana is exactly today, in WAEC, at the EC, everywhere is exactly what is happening in the VGMAs,” he said.

The source said: “After his album drops in June, Kunle may leave YBNL to focus on his own label too”.

You will pay to collaborate with me – dancehall King Shatta Wale replies Stonebwoy

Shatta Wale wants Ghanaian artistes who wish to collaborate with him to pay before any such collaboration could be cemented.

According to him that was how he handles his business.

In a post on Facebook Monday 16/05/2016, he wrote, “Any artiste in Ghana who will call me for a collaboration will have to pay me … Its business my friend.”

This comes after BET award winner Stonebwoy, last Saturday in an interview on television – Viasat1 – said he had no intentions of collaborating with the ‘Enter the Net’ hitmaker.

The host of the Celebrity Fanzone programme, Chantelle Asante had asked Stonebwoy if he had any plans of collaborating with Shatta Wale, to which Stonebwoy replied in the negative.

In an indirect reply to Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale posted this on Facebook.
